Pasar persaingan sempurna adalah sebagai struktur pasar atau industri di mana
terdapatnya banyak penjual dan pembeli dan setiap penjual ataupun pembeli tidak
mempengaruhi keadaan pasar.

a. Ciri-Ciri Pasar Persaingan Sempurna :
1. Firma adalah pengambil harga (Price Taker)
Pengambil harga atau Price Taker berarti sesuatu firma yang ada di dalam pasar
tidak dapat menentukan atau merubah harga pasar.
2. Setiap firma mudah ke luar atau masuk (Free Entry and Exit)
Apabila perusahaan mengalami kerugian dan ingin meninggalkan industri tersebut
langkah ini dapat dengan mudah dilakukan
3. Menghasilkan Barang Serupa (Homogen)
Barang yang dihasilkan firma tidak mudah untuk dibeda-bedakan, barang yang
dihasilkan sangat sama atau serupa.
4. Terdapat banyak Firma di Pasar (Many Firm)
Sifat ini menyebabkan firma tidak mempunyai kekuasaan merubah harga
5. Pembeli mempunyai pengetahuan sempurna mengenai Pasar (Perfect
Information)
Produsen tidak dapat menjual barangnya dengan harga yang lebih tinggi dari yang
berlaku di pasar karena Konsumen mengetahui tingkat harga yang berlaku dan
perubahan atas harga.
